I also like the wheels, and I’m not usually a fan of black alloys. I even like the red stripe around the rim - something that was pretty much universally disliked by forum members on the optional anthracite Seville alloys on the mk7.5 GTI (I liked them :smiley:).

The ED45 needed a few visual cues to set it apart from the standard Clubsport model and IMO a different set of alloys is the obvious choice for VW to achieve this. Unless you’re an enthusiast, you might not immediately spot other ED45 specific design elements such as the 45 decals, black door mirror caps and roof and Akrapovic exhaust, but you are likely to spot the different alloys.

Ordered from Hadwin's VW in the Lake District lead time update was 26weeks and got a superb deal from them

I didn't say it was a bargain :laugh: :whistle: Could've been worse, might've been a few £k over list....

Maybe it is a bargain, relatively speaking. With not many being built because of semiconductor shortages and Covid impacts on VW assembly workers, there won’t be many new unregistered examples around for immediate delivery.

I dare say there may be some dealers who’d be asking more than list price………. :whistle:

My car was confirmed build week BW30 but it’s still in build 4 weeks later, so build week confirmed is currently no indication of actual build week.

To be expected with the current situation but why confirm a build week!
