Clubsport 45s ordered and delivery progress

Simply unaffordable to me at those prices.   When my lease is up in 18 months, I won't be buying another new car - it'll be used and 2 or 3 years old.

yeah, it does seem a lot of money, I think I paid 24k or 25k for my mk7 golf GTI PP new in 2014 from the dealer.

Even without options the Clubsport it over the 40k barrier so I think that changes the VED tax as well?

Saw a decent second hand Type R today so will start the process of cancelling, hopefully someone can pick it up once it arrives from this forum as everyone has been very helpful

Good call Ash Rage I don’t think you will be disappointed. I had the first service on my 45 the other day and the dealer who sold it says he loved the car when I ordered it and he supplied it. It was a unique car and now he said you will be lucky to get any type of performance golf within 2 years. He also added that the new R20 some of the extras on the website are now unavailable so don’t be surprised when people get their cars they don’t come with what they ordered it with. This is very true as I’m hearing that new Audi’s now are also coming with only one key. So here we go back to the parts issue again. Enjoy your car.

I see the thread has been inactive for a while but I have just bought a Sept 2021 CS45 after 6 months in a Mk8 GTI.

How good is the Akra? Do you get pops and bangs? Anything I should be aware of ....other than the sh!te infotainment system?

Also, the dealer has ordered a new steering wheel due to recall....anyone had the same?

very very early edt45 is that then what options did it come with?

did you buy from dealer or independent?

yes the Akra is superb once warm, entertainment make sure its on latest version 1896/1899

Yes there are rumours of a mandatory recall on the steering wheel... but I thought it was 20/21 cars only...
