Not today but last Saturday, I sold my clubsport. I wasn’t enjoying drive it and I didn’t lose any money. Now I’ve got a boring A3 diesel with no finance.

2 months... You really must have hated it!

Hi P_Disley,  what did you do with those lovely bronze Revo's?  Did you sell them with car or are you selling them separately?  I think they looked great.

I'm sorry that you weren't enjoying the Clubby but it's good that you recognised that and were prepared and able to do something about it.

Fred, Hate is a bit strong , It just didn’t do anything for me after the couple of weeks . What did surprise me was the dsg box ,not as much fun as a manual,Also it was costing me between £50-£60 a week, which definitely helped me make my decision to px it .
Bill the wheels are available for a reasonable price

I do love those wheels but I have a new set of TD 18" Motorsport Pro's in anthracite which I also love.  I'm sure someone else will make you a good offer though.

The DSG is the one thing that lets the Clubsport down for me too. Maybe it’s the Devon roads that don’t suit it. Fine when stuck in traffic or doing the bypass Grand Prix but lacking when you just want to make controlled progress on hilly winding roads.
Great engine, amazing chassis and brakes, lacklustre gearbox.

The REVO’s would also look good on the Audi Diesel.

Finally a full detail with the new wheels on I swapped with Acegadget on here. Very happy think it looks pretty pretty good. Black would not have been the colour I would have chosen if I had the option when I bought it, but really happy I have this colour now.
nice 1000% better look than the standard wheel
so, how do you find the ride comfort and turning radius compared to the change from standard 18's without dcc.
i am hoping to make similar change in a week time.
ordered on 30/09/2020

The DSG?

Its a funny thing, this is my first ever auto and its very much a love hate thing...

Most of the time I'm paying no attention to it whatsoever, sometimes I notice it doing some weird things though, particularly round twisty lanes and uphill, buts thats in D not S.

I suspect in S it would do less weird things.

Probably control freaks would use M and get a DSG tune to stop the automatic redline upshifts.

I've kinda got over my DSG aversions now though I think and just accept it for what it is.

S does weird things too.
It’ll change up at points on the rev counter that are determined by how far your right foot is pressed towards the carpet, but it feels a bit too rabid and edgy when you just want controlled smooth quick acceleration.
Manual doesn’t feel right to me either. Digital arcade game springs to mind.

No rose tinted specs towards manual boxes either from me.

Roll on electric!

50 to 60 pounds per week on fuel doesn’t sound excessive  for putting through a club sport
