The fuel filler cap has 95 in big bold lettering from what I've seen online, so I presume 95 RON is recommended. Once I take delivery of mine, it'll be on regular unleaded, a 3-year lease car that won't see any appreciable daily performance increase isn't going to be treated to special petrol from me.

I can understand a real high-performance car benefiting from it though, like a Porsche or the Audi RS lineup, but a GTI? I doubt it'd be noticeable or worth it to be honest.

Yes it definitely does have "95 RON" on the fuel filler cap - I checked mine earlier.

And like you, I'm not about to feed it expensive petrol - one of the reasons I swayed away from the clubby tbh.

The shock of petrol mpg is bad enough, without making the fuel needlessly expensive on top!

Today I braved the hailstones to give the car its weekly bath.

The Golf dna is so clear in those photos. MK8 CS is the only one of the three I haven’t driven. Soon to be rectified!

Its the C pillar that is the key Golf design feature. They haven't messed with that since day 1 AFAIK.

I was fortunate enough to drive a new R yesterday, bit of a speed machine but as mad as it sounds I enjoy my standard better, I don't know if it's with it being front wheel drive but I find it more fun behind the GTI

Not my Mk8 (since I don’t own one), but I found out that you can have maps on both screens today without pro nav!
