Disabled in all modes. And doesn’t void warranty. It’s just a software tweak, no different to turning your air con off or on really, just a personal preference and something you should be able to change via the dash by default imo.

Agree it should be possible but oh well looks like I'll have to get one of the adapters. Thanks

Carista is £15 plus subscription (first month free) or £9.99 pay as you go for a month pass. ODB11 is more advanced but costs £45 (or more for pro version). I went with Carista. Made my mods and leave it alone now. If I want to change something I can either buy a month pass or activate the Beta program for free 👍

I am another carista user - I just wanted something that was straightforward and did most of the popular tweaks - by the way I think it went up to £20.99 a while back?

I joined the beta programme a couple of months ago - had free access ever since. Only catch is that some features are untested and if I use those features, I’m the tester. But I’ve made the changes I wanted to make, experimented with different sound levels for the aktuator and I’m done now 👍

Can anyone recommend a car battery tester that (a) works and (b) costs less than a tenner?  I don't necessarily want a charger, but something to just measure it and keep an eye on it would be useful.  I've seen a handful of them which plug into the USB socket inside the car, are these likely to be accurate?  Ideally I don't want to have to disconnect the battery to attach the tester.  I thought I could use Carista to check the battery but can't seem to find the option - plus the problem using Carista is that the ignition has to be switched on to connect it, and it takes a full minute to scan the system.  In the meantime all the LED headlights are on and can't seem to be shut off to conserve power.  Any suggestions welcome.  Don't want to break the bank as I expect restrictions will be lifted slightly in the coming weeks anyway.  Cheers.

I have a cheap multimeter but I'm not very experienced with them. Was a bit worried using a cheap one on a powerful car battery and unsure if it was dangerous at all.

So just to get these Carista usage fees clear - £9.99 per use, free to use if you sign up to the beta program, or £33.99 per year. Is that correct?

Also does it matter if I buy a device new or used?

Apparently the £9.99 for a month pay and go option is discontinued. So it’s £39 for a year. If you buy a new one you get one month free so I’d do that & make all the changes you need then leave it at that. If you need future changes sign up to the beta for free 👍

Doesn't the fee structure for Carista make it less appealing than OBDEleven Pro which is one off, people get caught up on the credits system and associated one click apps but you don't need to use those at all, you can go into each module and use adaptations then follow instructions as if you're using fill blown VCDS/Vag-com.
