I had a retrim done by 'seat surgeons' in York. A touch under 2k IIRC which included the door cards. That was about 5 years ago though.

That's 5 years ago Ryan...

2019 Golf R, I want leather, are there any decent re-trimming companies around Surrey?
Thanks.

Can't you just wait for some on eBay or post on here in the parts for sale/wanted section?

Each to their own and all that, but what's so great about leather to the point of re-trimming a virtually brand new car? I personally wouldn't even have considered buying a performance golf with leather and that's before you even start looking at the upgrade costs!!
... and that’s the beauty of the GTI, it has options for all tastes and needs. I personally wouldn’t ever not spec a ‘premium’ car without leather. Cost is subjective, but I think the leather option on the GTI is great, the red detail really lifts the cabin and gives it a premium feel, so IMO is well worth the money. It also allows you to add the electric seat option.

The GTI is a Swiss Army knife, not a sports car. :)
SOLD March 2021
2019 GTI Performance, 5DR, DSG - Isaac Blue, Leather, Pan Roof, 19" Brescias, DCC, Dynaudio, Rear Camera, Keyless, Electric Memory Driver Seat.

Agreed, everyone to their own, but I absolutely love the leather seats and how easy they are to keep clean and looking like new.

Agree completely, it does look stunning!! But so do the standard seats of both the R and GTI... IMO! But surely if you're so determined to get leather fitted on a new car how did you end up with a car without it in the first place? :undecided:

Simple answer to that.
When I was looking last October, an R with leather was like £35k plus, I could get a new car ordered through Drive The Deal with leather for £33k, but wait was at least 3 months.
Got talking to the local dealer, they offered me a 2019 R with 3000 miles on it for £28k, and I could take it home within 2 days!
The car I got is the colour I want, lapiz blue, I would of preferred leather, but cloth is ok.
So really it was either wait 3 months, or 2 days, I did not have the patience!
And looking at prices now, £28k still looks a bargain for a 19 plate!

Fair point..... I didn't have the patience to wait for mine either!

Makes sense now if you want the leather and don't seem too bothered about paying out for it, you're 5k in front already!!
