Sucking on the exhaust pipe of history

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/jan/15/richard-hammonds-big-review-a-huge-hooray-for-the-end-of-the-world

A very harsh review. The reviewer- whoever he is- also appears to be a bit dim. When the sausage man answered " since 1973" to Hammnond's question " how long have you been making sausages", he meant the Wolfsburg factory, not him personally ( the man looks to be in his 40s!)
I still can't quite get over how many cars this place produces- 3600 per day. Truly astonishing.

Good grief.  A review written by a dimwit trying to aggrandise himself, having failed at life and ended up churning out reviews of TV programmes for the jaundiced readers of the Grauniad.  What a waste of column inches and bandwidth.

I think the review was as bad as the show. I mean, it's The Guardian so what do you expect? Be grateful it wasn't written by George Monbiot although I'm amused at the idea of him having to endure Hammond for an hour to provide basis for a review.

Who is the audience for this show though? It seems to be written for 6 year olds and I ended up fast playing most of it - the whole Van de Graaff generator demonstration with the paint. FFS. It was factually wrong in several places.

They also do a package with the ketchup which I'm really rather fond of as well.
