Unlike an R which is a known quantity and always in demand I think a Clubsport has a very limited market.
If it has the bucket seats it’ll fetch a good price but then again they cost quite a lot more new! It’s all relative.
I Very briefly looked at putting mine in against a TCR back in the summer having been less than impressed with the mk8 looks (understatement), at the time it had 6000 miles on a 17 plate, no extras except black roof. Trade price was £23k.
I was offered £22k as p/x from a local dealer, £21.5k from a well known GTI specialist (as a straight sale) and £21k from a forum sponsor in a part exchange deal (taking into account the likely several month lead time).
In years to come they’ll probably be sought after by enthusiasts but right now they won’t command strong prices with new/nearly new TCRs available from stock and a mk8 being released any time soon.
