Hi
I had a golf Mk 5 (I think) several years ago, and was impressed with the sun visor. When rotated to the side, it could then also be slid 'telescopically' further back on its rotation bar, so it went further back to block the sun from the side.
My Mk 7 sun visor is very poor. I have a 3 door car, so no useful B pillar, and sit well back. The sun visor when rotated to be at the side window leaves a huge gap right by my eyes, so low sun from the side dazzles. It can't be pulled back to close the gap. And this time of the year there is a lot of low sun from the side.
a) Does anyone know if a visor off an earlier version of the car, which had the 'slide out' facility could be retrofitted? It would need the correct colour, fixing and length for the clasp.
b) does anyone know of an attachable thing which can fold out to extend the visor length when at the side?
Many thanks for any ideas.
