Google owns Waze... some of the stuff from Waze gets onto Google Maps, but not all - mainly its accidents and road closures, its not the speed cameras!

The options for alerts are in the options config for Waze...

Only a matter of time before it's not free then...

How many Google products have you had to pay for? I can’t think of one.

They keep asking me to pay for YouTube! They started charging for using maps on websites last year now that almost every website uses them. And why wouldn't they, they aren't a charity after all.

You can no longer enter speed camera locations icon on Waze, (mine anyway), you can only add the police icon.
Has anyone seen speed cameras on Google maps it should have 'rolled' out by now?

I tried Waze, thought it was crap so use my nav pro with speed cams on. Don't have any issues what so ever, maps are fully up to date and my cam file is updated every 6 months.

USB currently, but wireless is coming. Whether it'll require a headset update I don't know.

The only way you'll get wireless app connect is by buying a mk8. Kinda expensive upgrade...
Current: Mk8 GTI DSG, Adelaides, DCC, HUD, HK, Winter Pack, Rear Camera.. Aka "HMS Weasel"

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro

Rather than a speed camera app, is there a way of configuring the Nav System to alert you when exceeding the speed limit?

I had this on an old TomTom unit and it was brilliant, but not able to get it to work on the Nav System which I presume is more Garmin based.

No it won't do that, only alert you to a camera if it's already loaded.
