I donÂ’t know if the US and UK VR6 2.8L engines are the same but this is what my car dynod last week to the wheel.

To the crank this is 195hp and 200ft-lbs of torque (using 18% from wheel to crank conversion).

Here is a list of mods/conditions:

-2.25" cat back exhaust

-Cone intake right on MAF sensor

-Deleted power steering

-Deleted AC

-87 octane (lowest you can get in the US)

-130k on engine

-Distributor and coil used for ignition, no coil pack (from a 1993 Passat)

he knows that, read your previous post:

Passat had the same engine as the golf, 2792cc 128kw or 140bhp.
Corrado had 2861cc 140kw or 190bhp.

So your saying that the 16v is quicker than your vr6

errr in that case this quote you just did is complete rubbish then. So as i said a standard mk3 VR produces around the 176BHP mark. A 16v MK3 DOES NOT produce more power.
