A long shot but I had a rattle sending me mad around the dash and eventually found it was my sunglasses case rattling in the holder by the rear view mirror.  :whistle:

I keep getting an annoying persistent droning noise from the passenger side but it somehow always disappears just after I drop my OH off.... :rolleyes: :lipsrsealed: :whistle:

Does anyone know whether a VW dealership is likely to charge to turn off the soundaktor?

Yes.

As you have a 7.5 though, try just setting to individual mode and turning the engine noise to "eco". Obviously any other modes you want can also be selected (engine mode, steering, dcc etc).

Try that first, see if you are happy.

I would ask the dealer to have a look at it. I'm sure they will fix it under warranty. I had mine serviced a couple of weeks back and I asked them to have a look regarding my dashboard rattle. it seemed to be coming straight from in front of me behind the dash but they tracked it down to the knee airbag. They took it apart and re-assembled with anti-rattle tape and it's been fine since.

Anyone local to you that has VCDS or an OBD11 as they can do it in a couple of minutes or just unplug the thing, that is even quicker. :wink:

had the rattle on the wife's R as she has had it on sport for three years as she likes the sound, sorted under warranty

we had another annoying rattle which they found was due to the sun visor and the competent had been upgraded on later cars
