^^^^

To me they look more like German style than UK style  :undecided:

The W doesn't look correct. Weird as their listing says they are UK legal.......personally they sail a little close to the mark

Still look good though

Looks right to me.

UK style W looks like this...

German style W looks like this...

100% as long as they have the UK font and are stamped with the plate manufacturers post code
What about the UK 'reflectance' requirement (if thats the right word)?

They break it, the law states they must be made from a reflective material. Metal is not a reflective material it is painted to be so. There was a large crackdown around here a couple of years ago around Weston Park at a VW cruise where they stopped cars with presses plates. They need identifier marks in them as well.

The companies that sell these saying they are legal are not being truthful.

I had them on my Civic Type R for about 7 years with no problems from the police and no MOT failures. Now got them on my R.

A piece of clear acrylic plastic isn't reflective either until the reflective backing material has been added, so there's no real difference between a piece of aluminium having a reflective layer of material added

Mine are certainly reflective

Tru dat! Most of the modern plates are aluminium now (the ones I've just removed from mine and my fathers cars were both aluminium) and then, as you say, a reflective material is then added.
