My car arrived at sherness on the 31st and I've been told it'll take roughly 7 to 10 days to arrive at the swindon dealership and that I should hopefully have it delivered in the middle of next week.

Has anyone taken delivery as opposed to collecting themselves? I'm guessing they put it on a flat bed as I'll be annoyed if someone else has driven it from Swindon to my house.

I would check with your dealer. It's more than likely that they would get someone to drive it to you. You may have to specifically request a flatbed and will probably cost you.

I was at the Swindon dealership this morning, what Model and colour is it, would think it is there already.
Unless you get a train down to Swindon and drive it back, a driver has to deliver it. Or you can arrange a flatbed at up to £300 if you're talking Glasgow
There was a nice White 5dr GTI in showroom, manual pan roof, tartan, upgrade wheels etc.
I suppose I could deliver it for you  and you bring me back
Arrived 15/5/17 Mk 7.5 R Lapiz 5dr DSG, Prets, Pan Roof, DCC, Rear View Cam.
Our other car is a Mk7 GTI DSG 5dr Tungsten, Vienna, Rear View Cam, Park assist.

It's a DPB 3 door GTD. Spoke to the dealer and he's currently chasing it up as it doesn't seemed to have arrived yet.
I'd ideally like to get the train out and pick it up but as they're closed at weekends, I'm stuck for options. It's a company car too so I'm hoping lex sort out a flat bed as my current car will need collected. It will take the shine off getting a new car if it's been driven an hour or so and gets dirty before I even see it. Especially if it's black

LOL Lex won't baby you like that.

You'll have someone who has thrashed the nuts off of it all the way from the pickup point to the delivery.

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro

Dealer confirmed it would be driven to me. Think I might have to skive off work early and get the train out when it's ready. I'm probably being a bit precious but Fred is 100% correct and I know I'd do the same thing if it was me delivering it.

I'm definitely paying extra for a transporter whenever mine arrives
