That silver white R looks awful IMO.

Looks just like a tdi R line..  Wheels are shocking.  I think VW have clearly with the gti and R given them some awful wheel options hoping people will upgrade.

vAG have list  the plot lately the wheels on the TTRS are also awful.
My feelings exactly

I don't understand how they would be less visible. Surely a blinking and moving orange light is more eye catching than one that is just blinking.

I've not actually seen the Golf's sweeping indicators but if they are like the Audi's then I personally think they are not as clear.
I have seen them and couldn't take my eyes off them. They for sure draw your attention, and are logical in to outside directional light flow

I'm not saying I can't see them!! I'm saying they are "tricker to see". BTW, I have perfect 20/20 vision!

That's what I was thinking as well, espically giving the lenght of the sweep on Audi and VW indicators.  Maybe it might be a good idea to have an eye test just in case if one was to find it hard to see them.

Agree about the wheel comments, those upgrade on the R aren't good. If I was going R I would stick with the standard 18". A GTI however looks terrible on the standard 18s so it would need upgraded to 19" Brescias. A GTD would ideally have Brescia but could live with the 18s ok.

I personally think the Brescias look pretty crap. Out of all the standard and optional wheels on the facelift GTI and GTD, the standard GTD wheels look the nicest to me.

Agreed, its like your mind has to process the extra movement, compared to just the "normal" flashing
