Saw a Black Rubin GTD today, actually I thought it looked okay, certainly different although admittedly it was a fleeting glance but nowhere near as terrible as some have said.

I'm having colour trauma!! Order currently is for Indium Grey GTi but still changeable. Have seen Indium clean in the showroom and thought it looked decent but not outstanding. Saw one today parked and a bit dirty and it really didn't look anything special. Also saw a White Silver GTD yesterday, had only seem white silver in basic Golfs before and didn't think it looked good. The GTD looked better but from certain angles looked too much like primer light grey. Current GTD is Pure White which I still think is stunning but after nearly 4 years I think a colour change is needed and my wife in particular wants a change as its her daily driver.

Isaac Blue is too dark as my preference is lighter colours which rules out black. Atlantic looks too dark and flat in certain lights so although generally I love blue cars so it's not for me either.

Problems

Yes, the mk7.5 colour palette isn't the most exciting. If your preference is lighter colours, then the choices are limited to Pure White, White Silver, Tungsten Silver or Oryx White.

How about Tornado Red? Not a light colour, but IMO TR really suits the mk7 and mk7.5 Golf GTI and red is a classic GTI colour.

I went for TR, I wanted a bright colour and that was kinda it on the GTI.
Still object to paying for a flat colour, but hey, what can you do.
