I've found the alloy it's labelled satin gray but looks the same as the himalaya gray?

Is your link to there app or something as it looks like it's a different layout compared to the link I googled..?

They definitely do fit though as proven by Graham early with nice pic...so don't worry mate.

I got my own info from Gnasher(Graham) before I took the plunge and they've also been fitted by RDC who has 18s instead of 19s...http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=279772.10

Thanks for that link I've just had a look at the pictures . They look well in 18" and quite a big price difference about £260 if I remember correctly....

 Decision decision 19's or 18's?

When I placed my order for my new GTD I was told that I couldn't spec Panroof and the Santi's together and I really want both but I knew I could get decent aftermarket alloys so the Panroof was a no brainer for me.

People have said that the ride on 19s are a bit harsher than 18s but as my bones aren't to old (yet) I stuck to my first thinking of 19s.

Yes the 18s are cheaper but will you regret not going for those 19s. At the end of the day the SR's look stunning in both 18 & 19s so go with what makes you happy...

BBS themselves list them as fitting the Golf, although they don't state which version.

However I can definitely vouch they fit.

I reckon they are pretty strong too (as a quality wheel should be). I hit a pothole hard enough to burst the tyre and all it did was take a tiny chunk out of the rim - absolutely no distortion in the rim and they're 19's.

It's the version SR 028 on page 4 of the application list... http://bbs.com/pdfs/produkte/SR_2016.pdf

On a related note (not quite a hijack); 18 inch BBS CH's seem to come in two widths, 8 and 8.5 inches.  Anyone any views on which is more suitable for a Mk7 GTI?  Presumably the 8.5 inch wheels simply sit a little further out than standard Austins but will that cause any problems?

Depends on the offset and width of tyre you plan on fitting.

I thought the Austins were 7.5 x 18 so either are a change from standard.

Looking at the BBS website the 8" wide rim is ET50. This adds 5.3mm (outside) and 7.3mm (inside) to the wheel.

The 8.5" rim looks to have be ET35. This pushes the outside edge of the rim 26.7mm further out - way too far in my opinion.

If they are anthing like my BBS SRs, then BBS do not recommend using spacers with them either.
