Iv found a mate with a big enough lathe and we will adjust them down to17mm one day this week ....
A few people on here stated they were using 20mm with no issues .. but it's not working for me
I think 17mm will be just about perfect. Hope it works out for you 
Spacers now 17mm on the rear . not rubbing now .. next I want to reduce the altitude slightly .. will I have issues dropping it down while spaced out 17mm ? im only looking to drop it slightly
Here's a link to "willtheyfit.com" comparing my BBS wheels and your Santiagos with 17mm spacers. From a wheel point of view it's very close (0.7mm difference) but the extra bulge on the tyre might increase the chances of rubbing on the outer edge of the rears. Fronts should be fine too.
I'm lowered on Eibach sportlines so (at worst) you might need to change spacers again if you encountered rubbing once lowered.
