Yokohama tyres - views?
« on: 08 December 2016, 17:56 »
So I had 2 new front tyres put on today (19" Santiago) and tried Yokohama Advan Sport V1 for the first time. I've had Pirelli P Zero from new but tyre garage couldn't get stock so they recommended the Yokos.

Anyone on here have them? What do you think? Mileage? Wear? Wet performance? I was getting 17,000 out of the Pirellis

I had a look online and they seem to fair well on this test from Evo magazine a couple of months back.

I'd be interested in people's opinions/experiences.

I think Yokos on VWs are quite rare.... ;)

They are good tyres, probably compare quite well to Pirelli P Zero.

I have the Advans on my Mazda MX5. They are really grippy on warm dry days, but in anything less than ten degrees in the damp they slide all over the place.

As a European I would just say that's normal - they are summer tyres :D
