Limited to 50 with a caravan - you must be one of the few then

On the M40 last week - I swear, near Banbury, Trucks in lanes one and two (doing exactly the same speed as each other BTW - yes gtiaps, I'm talking about another little "trick" from your brethren ), Nissan Duke in lane 3 with a Caravan in tow doing over 70mph AND followed by a BMW X5 with a boat trailer right up his boot.

They both stayed in the outside lane doing well over 70 for at least 2-2½ miles before pulling into lane 2 (even though at that point all 3 lanes were clear). Never Police around when you do actually need them.

Now that's the sort of thing we expect from Audi drivers...........(sorry matchboy )

Lol yeah iv had that done to me way way too many times to recall I myself if the vehicle being overtook picks it's skirt up and starts staying level I myself drop back n await a nice downhill stretch or vice versa if a truck has a little more than me and traffic is heavy il ease off so as nor to hold up other vehicle's but then guess who gets the horns lights etc lol.
Maybe my old school driving trains but that's just me lol

Not sure if it's my farts and crackles (DSG with Remus quad exhaust) or just the fact I drive a GTI that attracts all boy racers in corsas or fiestas but every day lately especially during these cold and foggy mornings I get one of these kissing my bum on the road. Don't they see that driving that close is dangerous? If I didn't care that much for my car these lot would be a target for my brake testing. There was a pr@t tonight on my way home which joined the main road behind me to then slow down to leave a gap and then accelerate and brake violently close to my rear then leave the gap and do it again. Obviously 200 m later he left the main road at the first roundabout. I mean, what is the point in driving like that?

Another annoying thing I have noticed in my morning commute to work is people not stopping or slowing down at roundabouts to make sure they can pass. I drive every morning on a short straight road with 3 roundabouts on the way and every time I have to slam my brakes because some just fly through the roundabout without even a sign of braking.

And speaking of overtaking, I have noticed also that a lot of drivers flash you if you overtake them. It's almost like they feel offended if they are overtaken. I am talking here about normal, safe overtaking, not extreme situations. What I have also noticed is that most of the times is the ridiculously slow drivers that flash, example doing 25-30 mph on a 40 or 50 zone. One morning I even got flashed by a truck for overtaking him and he kept flashing me and even speeding up to stick with me. He was lucky I had another car in front but then the road opened up and I left them behind. Well excuse me for living on the same planet as you and for not sitting behind your big rig doing 20 mph and be late at work.

LE: Another thing: what is with some people driving with no lights on especially now with shorter days? Or with just parking lights when it's foggy?
