Heres a link to the unit myself and Roger mentioned which is an add on Kenwood/Garmin unit sold by VW dealers:

They seem to have gone up a bit in price since I last looked and that one seems to be about the cheapest dealer sold OEM one.
There other similar ones sold on eBay from different manufacturers but that's the one I'd go for personally if I was using Nav regularly.

App connect on my iPhone is way better than VW nav
