Car has just docked in Grimsby!  Came in on the Thames Highway.

Still waiting for the 1st Sept, this just means there's now significantly less chance of it being delayed past the original target date!  :cool:

Just spoke the supplying dealer he has said

"Car is due to be built next week, so should be here early to mid Sept"  :grin:

More awesome news.  I also have my VW dealer saying my car is built and left the factory and the VW Tracker saying it is Stage 4 Build In Progress so at least it is either built or being built? Mine should also be available for pick up by early to mid September.  I am definitely going to make a day of the hand over.  As soon as I know when the car will be available for hand over I am booking a day of holiday off.   :grin:

Day?!  I have the 1st and 2nd booked off work, and the 3rd and 4th booked off from any sort of sport.  No dealership prep whatsoever!  :cool:

I  didn't even book off a day for my current car.  It was raining on the Saturday I picked it up as well so just as well that I didn't.  However the anticipation waiting for my Golf R is now getting like Xmas is coming in September.  I will book the day near a weekend so I have more time to play with the car before going back to work.  I have to keep holiday back for the Masters degree I am starting in September as well in case the workload gets too much and I need time away from work to catch up.  Otherwise I would have booked more time off.    :wink:

So tracker appears to be working & both online chat & tracker show build W/C 29th.

Just waiting to hear back from dealer as he still believes car is due in to the UK for early/mid september

Hi Kelvyn,
 
The car is in production now.
 
It then goes to checkpoint 8 for final quality checks and is then released to transport to bring to UK.
 
I would expect to see the car week one or two September with us.
