Had arcan jacks for 5 years.  Very happy with them and no grief.  Clarke ones were sh!t,  the alloy ones anyway,  always popping g seals and bolts coming loose. Keep an eye in the rubber handle stops wearing out.

Just got my Arcan trolley jack, it was a lot larger and heavier than I expected.  Nearly had a hernia carrying the thing down stairs from where the delivery guy dropped the parcel off.    It definitely looks like it's capable of lifting the car with confidence.

That's why I didn't get the Arcan one.
I lifted it up in Costco, and considering it's supposed to be partly aluminium, it was stupidly heavy.
I've also got an SGS bottle jack that's fits in the palm of my hand and can lift 2 tonne.

I bought the Halfords own brand 2 tonne low level jack a few years ago whilst it was on promo, sure I paid something ridiculous like £30 with two axle stands too.

With me only using it once every 4-6 months to rotate or clean the wheels its plenty adequate for my needs and not had a problem with it.
I noticed on the auto express review of trolley jacks it was a Halfords trolley jack at No2 as the second best jack reviewed. Infact it could be the one you bought?

I've got the standard Hlafords trolley jack and it's not a bad bit of kit (especially considering the price).

Got a hockey puck for the top but since lowering the car, the front jacking point is very slightly too low. I now need to drive the front wheel onto a block of wood to get the jack under lol.

I wouldn't mind but it's only on Eibach springs!
