£40 was the fee I paid from DTUK to Ireland. I didn't really have the option of parcel motel even though I have an account. Joe, I got it for €220 all in with the code mentioned above

Hi guys ! Need a bit of help fitting the pedal box. I have all the connections fitted and have gone for a quick spin and everything is fine. I removed the small drivers side cubby by squeezing it in and pulling down. But now my problem is there is no gap behind the cubby to take the cable when the controller is in the cubby. When I try and close the cubby it will pinch the cable If I try and close it. My GTI is one of the first built in 2013. Have I got a different design or am I just being dense ?? thanks.
First impressions great by the way. With the map and the pedal box it feels a lot quicker than the facelifted R I test drove last week.

Your just being dense I'm afraid. I fitted the cable without much difficulty so it can't be that hard🙂

Are you sure you've got the cubby back in straight as there should be no pinching of the cable with the cubby door shut, there's plenty of gap at the back. Did the cubby click back in properly, i. e, the retaining notches -  see pics which show the retaining clips when cubby is pulled out.

Thanks Booth for the help. I figured it out in the end !!
Just back from a long spin now and I noticed that the auto hold is not working since I installed the box. No green parking light and it's defo switched on etc. I turned the pedal box off and it instantly worked. Has anyone else had this problem. ?

Ooh you meany  Carbon VW, what setting are you using? I switched mine to red today for the 'sovereign overtaking' experience! Very perky!

In response to your query, not had any problems on that score, very odd...

Yes Watts, Kalimon was very helpful as you can see !
I am using sport  with 1 green light. That's what I settled on. Any more than that and traction control system working overtime to try and put the power down (car is mapped). But yes the auto hold not working is baffling me. I did a scan with VCDS and no error codes either. I'll have another look tomorrow.

Mapped too? Blimey, that must be a handful, what are you using? I was on sport with 2 green lights and to be honest it was plenty, just fancied a change. The autohold issue is bizarre, can't see how the two could be linked.

It's not a branded map. It's a professional tuning guy that  I have been going to with my last 3 cars. It was putting out 296bhp on the dyno after the map. The pedal box seems to be the last missing piece of the jigsaw!  yes I don't see how they could be linked. They definitely are though as it started working as soon as I turned the box off.
