Cheap Lease Golf R ending
« on: 26 May 2016, 20:01 »
Hi all

Me like many snapped up the cheap lease deal on the Golf R almost 2 years ago.
I love my 5 door manual R, best car I have ever owned.

Given I waited 4 months for my factory order R, I need to start thinking what to do next, Ill need to speak to Arval and see if I can buy the car - and if so how much, or should I cut my losses and just lease another one - as there are similar deals about now.

Be interesting to see how much Arval would want for you to keep? £23000? just a guess, but thats a lot of money and be about £500 a month on pretty standard 4 year loan

Think lease prices are still good and competitive from what I saw in recent due diligence but not at the levels you opted in at, but you get more of a car at same price than on other marque.

You will have to just do your due diligence, get some lease quotes and work out how much that costs you over the 2 years and even another 2 years against and how much finance (presuming cannot buy outright) would need to buy your present vehicle (including some maintenance cash) and how much be left in the car when come to sale.

Personally like leasing, as yes its never yours but its a clean relatively short term transaction which does not leave you too exposed if situation changes for example.
