Just to add; by law you can your car to any repair centre via an insurance claim. So if youre not happy with the one they suggest tell them where you want it doing. The only thing to consider is that there may not be a loan car provided or some nonsense like that.
TBH since the other party accepted liability I have asked and they have given.
Other party insurer took over the claim I assume so all costs were just that with no 'extras' or margins built in.
Did a little homework and esure (my company) have a preferred car hire supplier who recharge weekly rates for a days hire of a basic sh*t box rep mobile.As the other insurer is in charge, I requested like for like and they have put me in nice C class. Bit soft but has all new tech and is very comfy. Miss the GTI though and actually highlights what a good car it is.
