Id post a picture but I can't see any option to attach. The tyre looks knackered but will see what be say. Kwik fit didn't have a bridge stone and I wanted all 4 tyres to be the same-I'm not sure if this is paranoia and my car knowledge isn't great but I thought having one odd tyre might cause some problems .

Vw just been. Checked the screw and unbelievably he got it out and it hadn't punctured the tyre! Sprayed over it and no air .Result.

Best news you could have as they are terrible tyres, much better getting a decent tyre instead of putting another Potenzer on.

What photo? If you're talking about my photo then yes the tyre was replaced with a new one. I'm not a fan of getting a punctures repaired.

Your supposed to get free punctures repairs for the life of your car from vw dealers. Have you asked?
That's the first I've heard

That's only if you bought some dealer Bullsh!t package. They tried to flog me it but I can't recall the name.

Punctures are fine to repair,  location permitting,  have probably had over two dozen repairs during my commuting days and only ever had one leak.  I had a roofing bolt go through my 19" Pirelli about 1000 miles in. Still fine now,  fitter did a brilliant job.

It's got nothing to do with buying any package from VW. I've had three punctures repaired at my dealer over the last 5 years or so and always been free. Maybe it's just my dealer network up in north east that does this.

I also had 2 punctures repaired free but I was getting the car serviced at the time so maybe that's why. Although I'm sure they told me it was a free service they offered.
I wouldn't go back though as they never fitted any weights and scratched the surface of my Vancouvers (Mk6) and then denied it!!!
