Just had the call from the dealer to say my car has arrived, but (and its a big but) they haven't fitted the DCC. Not prepared to accept it without, so either they have to retrofit it (if it can be), find one with the right spec or reorder. Not a happy bunny.

Wot plonkers!!! Bit you know the customer is always right lol o wouldn't accept it neither when I collected mine I checked every upgrade I specced with the salesman to show me they were all there fortunately they were  ..

I would be really annoyed about that but at least they've come clean about it. It's a shame the tracker doesnt show the full spec.

I would hold out for a new car with DCC though, I have them and they are brilliant.

Did your dealer give you a copy of the order form when you placed your order? I went through mine 3-4 times to double check they had added everything. Really sucks though, I'd be proper pissed - hope they are able to resolve it for you quickly

The order form definitely has the DCC on it, yet VW in Germany deny that it was ordered, strange then that all the available cars with dealers in the UK at present have it.

The salesman and the principal are very apologetic and have given me extra contribution, plus upped the trade in and promised a further sweetener, but still means I have to wait again

That sucks even more then. Least you are getting a few nice goodies out of it - but still doesn't make up for the anti climax of waiting! Have they given you a rough estimate how long a new one will take?

Cars amazing! Can't believe how good it feels! Have put some pictures in the new arrivals section. Weather was terrible but will clean it as soon as it drys up! Only issue if at all is the head lights are pretty misted up with condensation but the rain has been excessively bad. Will keep an eye on them!
