I've seen talk of this online but I think it's super limited, like 100 in total.
Incidentally, are we still able to spec the Prets? The configurator app doesn't give the option.
My bad - they're on there now. Has anyone ticked the £2.5k box??
What a waste of money, and they don't even give you the standard wheels and tyres as well!
If you are selecting these tyres you are going to use it as a track car and if you are buying a track car it's unlikely to be a £33000+ Golf.
It's almost like VW are trying to tell you it's a track day car by giving these an option even though the brakes will catch fire after 2 laps - I've just worked it out - more corner grip on Cup tyres = less use of the brakes - GENIUS!
Surprised they don't fit it with one of those fabric tow hooks as seen on slammed Corsas.
(and yet I still want one
)
So your R experiences haven't put you off mk7 Golfs then Andrew?

Or is this to be mothballed and put away for your pension fund?

It'll certainly be interesting to hear your thoughts on a CS once you've driven/owned one with your vast experience of different performance VW's/Audis/SEATs etc
