Too many buttons?

You know you don't have to press them all, all of the time? Its not Streetfighter (one for the kids there)

Besides, I'd actually consider it to be a fairly clean and clear dash layout compared to some....

Honestly, there's no pleasing some.

Being a bit of a Luddite, my preference will always be proper gauges, I really like the sweep when the ignition is switched on. Having said that, I do get the benefit of the big display right in front of the driver but then surely you don't need the big centre console display? One or the other? Cars in general are just too complex these days.

My thoughts too. Too many buttons put me off the MK7 GTI from an initial drive. Like most things I suppose you get used to changes but yet to be convinced to put my money into one.

I don't think the MK7 has too many buttons though, possibly too many gadgets or certainly more than I need. I wouldn't let that put you off though, if you like the car go for it. I love my GTI and I'm so pleased that I took the plunge.
