So out of all those identical but different meals - do enchiladas get the nod?

For me yes, but who knows what the Ex clan will favour. Many seem to prefer fajitas.

And you are a bad influence and are directly responsible for me going out to a local Mexican (Tacos Lacos) earlier tonight!

Decided to take my daughter out for tea (dinner) as a treat for getting a good report from her teacher at today's parent consultation (as they are now called! - used to be parent evenings in my day but now they are 'consultations' and held so (in)conveniently in the daytime so you have to take time off work to attend)  Anyway,  deciding where to eat, I just couldn't get Mexican out of my head, thanks to you, lol.  Fortunately said daughter is a big fan and the mere mention of fajitas and the decision was made!  As it's still mid working week (and I was driving) I had to forgo the tempting Slammers. I do like a bit of lime, salt and Tequila.

"I wish"!
I had a push bike when I was a student.

My sons are both students and they have a GTI at their disposal (a very old and ratty one) but choose to use their enslaved parents as a free taxi service instead.
I think I went wrong somewhere with my parenting!
One of many wrong turns in my life!!!

Same here - although I dont think I had a bike....

My kids shared their mums car whilst at uni - although to be fair the youngest wasnt and still isnt that bothered about driving..... maybe that was crashing soon after he passed or now having the joy of a Pug 206 1.1 as his run around when home from uni...

Free taxi service is compulsory part of parenting! I did pick my daughter up from a wedding once (in my E class estate) and whilst waiting got lots of drunken guests who thought I really was a taxi! Car had to go after that...

Thankfully neither of my two lads have any interest in cars whatsoever so shouldn't share my lifelong affliction of blowing money that I really shouldn't on depreciating lumps of German steel.

I'll take full credit for that quite happily Ms B, though maybe not for the green smog you'd have had to fight through in the morning when you woke up!  :lipsrsealed:

And a very big "well done" to both you and Miss B Jr as you both got good reports this week - Like mother like daughter!

There won't be any slammers for me either, funnily enough I've never been one to drink at home but will still do the odd social drink when I get bullied into it by my workmates (getting old and years of shift work has finished any enthusiasm for socialising) but I'd have the odd Guinness as a nightcap from time to time.
I had a really bad cold in about March time, proper bad one that meant a spent a few days off work and I never ever go sick off work normally - I'd not had any sick leave for years and years. Anyway, as I was off work and feeling crap I'd decided to have a can of Guinness whilst watching Family Guy on TV late at night (beats sitting around feeling sorry for myself) but because of the illness it tasted funny so I chucked it down the drain. And since then I've barely touched any drink, I just don't like the taste of it any more. Weird.

Back on topic: The rest of the clan can fend for themselves as far as the menu is concerned, I'll take your recommendation :afro:

Oh, and I finally hit 1900 miles at some ungodly hour this morning.
In fact I took the car for a bit of a run.

Same here Mr Ex, largely teetotal as a result of years working in the drinks industry and seeing the darker side of alcohol, which put me right off it.  Enjoy the odd drink now and then, preferred tipple being champagne or hard liquor - tequila, whisky but that's it and few and far between.  Anyway I'm usually the 'driver' on social occasions.

Back to cars.......

I'm catching you up, now edging to the 1500 mile mark!

This is the first car I've had since a couple VR6's several lifetimes ago that I've been able to sit and watch the fuel gauge go down!
All town work the last couple of weeks so about 21-23 mpg.

Still, every time that turbo spools...

Yeah, it's really not the car to buy if you care about fuel consumption.  Fortunately I don't.

Town is the killer, that's partly why mpg has has dropped of late and partly because I've been driving it with gusto!
