These ones:

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=272344.msg2493356#msg2493356

Need ones for 5dr.  Will start searching.

Ha ha...... You are on your own with that one.. Two doors too many for me !!
I think Sootchuckers fitted the Teflon ones. I had them on both my Scirocco's and they are really hard wearing. The still looked like new when mine went at 3 years old.

Fair enough.  I'll do my own dirty work

And after, blue footwell LEDs and R sill guards, I'm on the hunt for some decent mats possibly with R logo and/or blue piping or stitching.

Haven't looked anywhere yet, but if you JB, or anyone else has seen any nice ones, let me know.

Then that'll be the feet area sorted.

Apologies to OP for thread hijack.

Ok. So I got bored and found these

Haha!  Thanks for being bored.

I like the look of them, and they would look great with on a black car, with that silver stripe.   Just wonder how hard wearing they are being vinyl.  Think they are similar to the other ones in that link.  There's also the Teflon ones you mention, but they are a bit ugly, but do the job I suppose.

Hmm, looks or practicality?   Probably go with the former and see how they stand up to the job.

Right that's enough, need sleep!

Here are mine. Really like them as they protect the whole of the sill area.

Those are the other ones I was talking about.  They seem substantial and look very nice. Where did you get them from Sootchucker?

Saw some replacement LED interior lights in Halfords today. They had them in white and blue and looked to be a direct replacement to the standard bulb. Can't confirm if they are suitable for the Golf or not and price, I think it was £9.99 for a pair. Might be worth a look?

Have ordered the replacement for the oem footwell light units from TPS today.  Will be here tommorow.

Will swap out the tungsten bulbs for the blue LEDs ordered from ebay last night.  Always get my interior LEDs from ebay and always good.

Will fit this weekend.

I like the look of the sill covers, I did wonder what the point of the standard ones were given there position. I know they light up which looks nice but the actual sill is left totally exposed!

Double checked and there is definitely just an empty hole, I can't feel any cable/plug that should have something connected to it either!  Does the footwell light unit have a cable that connects father up inside the dash?

There should be some wiring with a plug on the end of it. Unfortunately it is really short and I suspect that left untensioned without the bulb holder to keep it in place it may be more than a fingers length away
I think a quick call to your supplying dealer is in order and let them deal with it !!
