That explains how the cable reaches to the back, I measured it before and thought it would be too short. Is the cable visible at any point along the door seal route along the car or a pillar meet point?

Thanks for all the pointers, it's helping me form a plan!

Noe, it can be 100% hidden by the lip of the rubber seal or well tucked into a pillar trim join, and there's plenty of room for the cabling to go right along a MK7, I had almost a metre of slack to wrap up in the boot opening trim
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
MK7 R 5 door, manual, Lapiz Blue, Prets.

Thanks for all the help and advice with the install, I did it this weekend with my Dads help and expertise. The how to's from both of you helped so much especially with visualising where to pull at the clips on the trim!

Did you get any trouble with your DAB signal after the install? I noticed at some points this morning that the radio had dropped back to FM.
