ECS tuning valvetronic exhaust for gti, Opinions?
« on: 15 September 2015, 18:40 »
Hi guys,

Looking to get this, seems pricy, but sounds amazing
http://www.ecstuning.com/News/Volkswagen_MK6_GTI_ECS_Valved_Exhaust/ES2918647/

plus theres issues with VAT and postage, but its expensive just like other valvetronic exhausts.

Sounds freakin AMAZING. better than bcs powervalve I think, plus with the bcs not being loud whilst pootling around in traffic when you want to annoy tail gaiters.

craftsmanship looks amazing and so do the gains! and listen to it!!

excited, but need to save :(

Looks exactly like BCS's exhaust with his powervalve technology. Cheaper and made in England so no shipping tax.

my only reasoning for the ECS one is that its not boost activated, so I can idle around in rush hour and still have a loud exhaust but then cruising on the motorway I can have it turned off even if I need to overtake someone in that sense its alot more versatile, I need to find out how much it costs with shipping etc. it's alot but I really want one

The BCS is performance orientated, it closes down when you arent going for it so you dont sound like a chav when driving normal and ruin the daily driving of your car. The powervalve opens under acceleration to allow more flow/ full power, which in turn makes it nosier as its opened up. Its design is for power, not to make it noisy!

Cant the valvetronic ecs do both? open for performance and closed when quiet, just gives you more control which I think is a big plus, if you look at the vids, they have a dyno showing 25bhp increase at stage 2 tune and 35 torques
