Great job SRGTD, looks really good. What area of Norfolk are you based in? I was near Sandringham at the weekend visiting my mum (we had the flag at full mast ) and had a nice trip out towards Norwich along some lovely quiet Norfolk A and B roads, very relaxing! Oh, and a couple of pints of good Norfolk beer (plus a visit to the world's biggest beer shop near Kings Lynn).

Thanks Watts.

I'm in South Norfolk, just south of Norwich. Yes, there are some decent quiet A and B 'driving' roads, and a fair few decent beers. We have a couple of decent pubs in my village and I'll be visiting one of them tonight for a beer or two!

Give me a wave if you see me around. I live in Yarmouth but work between there, Norwich and wymondham 👍

Its nice when things work out as planned. Was planning to give the car it's first proper (2 bucket) wash today since 1st June(!), and the weather held out this morning. Dropped daughter off at childminder a bit earlier than ususal and then I had 2.5hrs before I needed to get ready for work.

Usual process followed:
  • Pressure washer rinse
  • VP advanced snow foam and pw rinse
  • wash wheels with VP bilberry wheel cleaner, big wheel woolie and wo-wo wheel mit and rinse with pw
  • 2 bucket wash with DDJ supernatural shampoo and wo-wo lambswool mit
  • pressure washer rinse
  • open hose rinse
  • towel dry with DDJ/wo-wo towels
  • exterior glass clean with AG fastglass and wo-wo glass cloth

The obligatory pics....

Before - the red does hide dirt quite well but it was pretty bad by my standards:

Thought I'd try a couple of different angles today for a change..

including 'the dutch angle' (as it's called in photography... or tilting the camera to you and me )... yes I did pinch the idea from Rebecca's recent pics

There's still a couple of tiny tar spots here and there and I've discovered a scratch at the bottom of the driver's side rear door, but I think this should polish out as it doesn't catch my nail. There's also 4 or 5 stone chips. I might sort the scratch soon, but the rest will be left to winter prep time.

Now I just need to find time to give the inside a proper clean (although it's not that bad really).

I feel much better now it's clean again! I must admit I do love the colour. Photos are actually quite close to how it looks in the metal.. camera on the Lumina 950 is pretty good :nerd:

Probably could use another coat of c2v3 (sterile and glassy remember ) as it was last done in march, but I neither had the time nor the arm muscles for it today!

Good wash and wax today, making use of my Finish Kare FK1000p which I originally bought for my wheels. Obviously it wasn't too long before we had some rain

Cheers Booth, very kind words. My first red car and really enjoying the change. My last car was pearl black like yours and I loved it, still do as I see it most days but needed a change after 13 years. Could easily be tempted again.
