Im abit of a Eibach "fanboy" ive always used Eibach on all my cars (also have a set on our Mazda3) and NEVER had any problems and always been happy with the ride quality. At work friend of mine also has a GTI with the VW Racing springs fitted (probably the other springs Exonian is likely to recommend) they are slightly lower than the Eibachs and a little stiffer. Dont be fooled into thinking the VWR springs are more warranty friendly just becasue the are VW Racing.....the same dealer discretion applies to both springs.

Im in no doubt a propper remap would be better....but I worry about my car getting TD1 flagged....but the DTUK tuning box and pedal unit is more than enough for me.

I'd agree with you there Kenny. The DTUK  boxes provide plenty enough performance for road use.
For prolonged flat out driving a remap might be better (assuming it's a properly developed map) but for general use a tuning box delivers the figures.
The pedal box alone makes the car feel so much quicker despite not giving any actual BHP gains. My fave mod for sure.

I've got Eibach on my other car (with Bilstein shocks) and they tend to be my springs of choice.
And you're right, I'd have also mentioned the VWR in my next breath!
I've not tried either on a mk7 but those two make springs that say they're compatible with original dampers which means comfort would be on the more tolerable side.
I've had a couple H&R kits which I didn't like (on older cars) but I'm a big fan of their spacers (along with Eibach spacers).

If you ever get the chance to ride a MK7 on EIbach's im sure you would be very surprised with the ride quality. Our previous car a Scirocco which is based on a MK5 chassis was also on Eibach...I can tell you the MK7 chassis is a differant league, on our original 18" wheels the ride quality was almost identical in the golf...! On 19" the car still rolls over the road very well.....just abit more harsh on badly surfaced roads. But I never actually drove the car on 19s with standard suspension.

I've recently gone back to Austins after running two different sets of 19's and was amazed at how much better the car rides on 18's.
