123 are far cheaper for the VRP, which means when ALA match and then beat by 20% of the difference, they are very cheap. They do the comparison while you are on the phone, when you say 123 were cheaper.

Gap123 certainly are cheaper for VRP, by some way.

Just done an online quote with them on list price with £20k benefits and came in at £157 compared to the £200 ALA quote.  So if ALA match it then do 20% of the difference, be looking at around £148 before any discount codes. Be more than happy with that, if price is similar in 3 months time.

Apologies for thread going off topic

You can't get ALA to match then knock off 20% off the difference AND hoy in the 10% off code afterwards (I asked! ). You need to call ALA and speak to someone for them to check a price match and instigate the pricebeat. ALA being considerably dearer for VRP before the match definitely works in your favour. The price difference for RTI is negligible, so VRP ends up being very little more.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Sorry my post wasn't clear.  I understand ALA would do the price checking and satisfy themselves of the 123 price.  Ha, maybe the 10% discount too, was pushing it

Anyway, appreciate the heads up, when the time comes it will no doubt save me a reasonable amount of money, so thank you

I just had a phonecall from my dealer - will be ready from 9am tomorrow. The "valeter" set about my car before the PDI was done (wrong way round), which delayed the mechanical checks happening and the workshop was going to be closed before they finished with mine and then got the valeter to reclean mine. That's the official line. Anyway, he sent me a video link of my car...

Looks amazing wish I had gone for lapiz & prets, I couldn't convince the wife at the time, she saw one in the flesh a few weeks later  & loved it  (god dam) enjoy  tomorrow look forward to hearing your impressions of the car.

He's probably getting to grips with the Bridgestone tyres.

After such a wait, can't blame MH for taking his time and going out for a good shake down in the car. Either that, or if the handover didn't go well, he's been arrested for assaulting a VW salesmen

I thought this but dared not to post it. Imagine how many monkeys I'd have on my back apart from the usual suspects! Here's hoping all is tickety-boo for an ace chap like him.

Hopefully it did all go well and he's out on the loose, putting it through it's paces - gently at first of course

I'm sure he'll be along to tell in his own time and indulge us with a few pics of the beast.

Or he is on his way to change the tyres to Michelins, that is if his car is shod with Bridgestones. Plus, he might also be busy writing a long exposé.

Or he's detailing it to within an inch of it's life (boring as that may be to some)

And, will unveil it in it's full glory later
