I thought that was the whole point of the fast Golf's (GTD, GTI and R), that they are classy and understated, and therefore above all this traffic light grand prix stuff. Thought that was the stomping ground of VXR's and ST's etc.

And 18 year olds that lease Golf R's for a few coppers a month before getting bored of them after a couple weeks (at which point they stop posting crap on an R forum), and those that feel a Golf is a bit below them (but it was cheap at a mere £34k), not mentioning those that bought a bespoke 4wd super hatch that was hand crafted and totally different to any other Golf ever.
Just look at the (lack of) serious replies on this thread and (lack of) similar threads on here. That says enough really.
