Getting seriously frustrated ordered my PP GTI 1 March and still waiting stuck on stage 2, with the dealer saying yeah VW have confirmed they are on course to deliver 1St week of June - what's that smell..... It's ridiculous when VW's drive for efficiency gains makes customers wait months for what is a mass produced hatchback, albeit a bloody good one.

1st of March order and you're expecting it st June? Both you and your dealer have been very optimistic. Regular (SE/Match) Golf orders might just be fulfilled in 12 weeks. GTI/GTD/R orders most definitely will not unless you've grabbed a cancelled order that has done a lot of the waiting already.

If you are stage 2 now, best you can hope for is 7 to 8 weeks from now. If your car went stage 3 tomorrow (BW confirmed), you'd be 4 weeks from getting built, add in 2 weeks stuck at Emden for a ship to the UK and a week to get to the dealership from there and then the dealer doing a prep/PDI and you're then ready to collect. Aug/Sept for a fresh order placed in March is more in touch with reality currently.

Impossible for a "right now" stage 2 order to be fulfilled in June.

I ordered 15th March. It hit stage 5c on 7th May and it's due for delivery on 18th May.

Hey Ben. You should hit 5c 2morrow. No stage 6 for me yet. Maybe nows the time for mine to be delayed!

I think if you have your stage 5c your pretty much guaranteed 10 days to the dealer. Unless anyone knows anything different. Yeh hopefully, who knows!!! I'm just mega impatient and the closer its getting the worse i am. Haha

Ordered at the end of March and I've just gone from BW22 to BW29!! You'd think the factory was going on strike for 7 weeks!

I guess that is a strong possibility. Especially as my car is just a standard 3dr with carbon grey paint.

I'm sure it will me - just trying to manage people's expectations here. We all want our cars yesterday, some people who've maybe never ordered a VW GTI/GTD/R before may well be expecting a 12 week timeframe.
