Golf R Estate?

5* Review in Auto Express:

They say:
It fits the bill as the only car you’d ever need but, more importantly, in the real world it’s good enough to be the only car you’d ever want.

Great review, but the R Estate is not the only car I'd ever want.  Not for me.

I am in total agreement with you. It just looks so wrong with that elongated rear.
It's a very fast hearse and will get the stiff to the crematorium on time.

It's the only car you'll ever need or want if you have a huge dog and a penchant for fast medium sized petrol cars.
A bit harsh maybe and I know what they're getting at.
A Golf Alltrack looks more stylish and a GTD estate makes more financial sense if looking at the projected retained values are to be believed.

But it's a niche model and a very good one by the looks of it!

It is an abomination and thankfully it is a niche model.

Having shuffled off this mortal coil, I don't think the stiff gives a stuff about getting to the crematorium on time
