There's been quite a few tests and comparisons done on this and the jury's still out as to whether you get any real benefit.
New member here also, waiting patiently for the right MK6 3 door, anyway, I thought this debate had been settled long ago. As others have said it's about personal choice, but I'll never use anything less than V Power because of a few People I know that had issues with injectors using supermarket fuel never to have them again once they switched to better fuel.

This is worth the watch for those that haven't seen it, and partly why I always use V Power. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQghB4asSnI

Hi and welcome

There may well be the evidence to back up the claims of higher octane fuel being better, so perhaps you're right.   The debate however, is just that and will probably go on and on.  Regardless of facts it usually one person's preference or belief against another's.

Like you I always use super unleaded and preferably V Power Nitro+, although my nearest Shell garage is 7 miles away in another town.  I purposely coordinate my work trips there will fuel fill ups, but sometimes I have to settle for Esso super which is only 97ron

How's your search going?  Have looked at many?
