It doesn't tell you what week its confirmed for if I remember correctly but it does get confirmed 4 weeks in advance so you should be build week 18.

So in theory you should be looking at 6 weeks onwards to collect your car. I think the quickest I've seen from build week to collection was 10 days.

Going by Slipanddip's date of ordering i should be 6 weeks behind making it week 24

Unfortunately date of ordering and build week dates have nothing in common as you have loads of other variables to take into consideration.

The dealership you bought from might only be allowed to order 3 GTDs a month and they have already sold a few months allocation in advance already. Unfortunately everyone ordering a Golf doesn't just go onto an in-sequence waiting list. That would be far too easy 

Plus a car may already be in the system.

Or certain extras can hold up orders.

BW18? That's close enough to be locked in, so it's a definite. How long it takes to get here depends heavily on your location and which port your car will come to. Tyne-bound cars (as far south as Teesside, right up through the North East and all of Scotland) generally make the trip from Emden far quicker than Sheerness/Grimsby bound cars.

yeah well I hope so, I know delivery can take a while so im guessing thats the maximum delivery time.

Just received a text to say that my order has moved to stage 3, looks as though i am going to be BW21 but my dealer doesnt open until 9am so i have to wait to confirm arrrrrrggghh

I am glad i still have a few weeks, got to get my private plate onto rentention, refurb alloys, get a small crease on my door repaired, sell the BMW etc oh and get my deposit together.
