VR6 Corrado CannonBall set off today
« on: 16 September 2005, 17:50 »
Here is the letter I got from a friend today, thought you might be interested, and I will post the before and after pic's of the car.
The Golf+ and VW Perfornace and both going to be doing write ups on it, nad see how many companys you can see?
Good to see AMD in there

Hi Clair
Can't remember if I sent this out already, but one of my younger brothers, Mark, and a mate of his, Gavin Taylor are doing the Cannonball Run this year in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Cancer Research (Gavin is a life-long sufferer of cystic fibrosis). They leave on Friday.

If you want to sponsor them, then please get in touch via their website (the corduroyslacks one), or by emailing my brother at the address at Aston Martin below or markrtw@yahoo.com.

Also attached is the before and after of when you take your private car in standard trim, and give it to a professional graphics company to do a full body wrap of graphcs for your main sponsors.... What can I say?... Holy cow!... :-)

Many thanks!

Dear Sponsor,

Allow us to introduce ourselves; our names are Gavin Taylor and Mark Haynes and we have a car entered in the Cannonball Rally from London to Rome (via Brussels and Munich) between the 16th, 17th and 18th of September.  Full details about the Event can be found on the official website, www.cannonball8000.com.

The 3000 mile event is being heavily covered by the media including in two 1 hour programmes on Channel 4 and coverage on Men and Motors TV channel.  In addition, the event is also being covered by Maxim, Boys Stuff and Penthouse magazines as well as the National and Local Press. We will also be featured in Performance VW magazine and are writing a feature for The Golf + magazine along with photo’s covering the event and our adventures.

Our objective for entering the Rally is to raise awareness and funding for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Cancer Research UK charities, of which we are registered fundraisers.

We would like to ask if you would be kind enough to sponsor us for this event.

Please find attached information regarding our two chosen charities and our business plan.  If you would like to help us with our cause, please do contact us at any time either by phone, email or at the address below.

Yours sincerely

Gavin Taylor & Mark Haynes

Now for the pic's
