Thanks for the replies. I think I will try my luck and like you say "account for a £800 bill" worst case. At the end of the day most cars have demons of some sort!

I'm pretty sure on it being a mk4 TDi for my commute. Still gonna keep the mk2 gti as my guilty pleasure though.  :cool:
