I forgot to mention the R I drove was the 3 door version. Blimey those doors seem massive. I'm only used to 5 door hatchbacks these days (for family duties).

The large doors must make parking in tight spaces interesting. However, aesthetically the 3 door does look slightly nicer in the R.

doors are huge 3" longer than the mk6 as i was a sad f"cker who measured them when i had a 5, 6 and 7 on the drive
