I used a free starbucks card! Got like 20 of them in case I need to scrape ice off the windscreen and stuff

Don't panic take your time and it will be easy.

This is what my car looked like during my Xenon retrofit  when the car was 8 months old   :shocked: :laugh:



That image has put me off the Xenon Retrofit 100%!!  :grin:

As long as you are methodical, it's not as daunting as it looks. It's only screws and clips and the wiring connectors will only fit where they are supposed to go. Also being a VAG, it will all fit back together with a satisfying "click"
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

You'll all be pleased to know that I did the upgrade this morning. All went really well apart from the rear middle dome LED didn't work and I managed to break the front passenger vanity light. Ordered a new one from VW for £8.99 so no big deal.

Will post up some pics when it gets dark.

I used my mountain bike tyre removal tool and an oyster card to do the job.

Don't forget LED's only work one way round, try flipping it before getting another bulb.
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂
