Rebecca:

You are a darling, darling.

I have plenty of funds in cash and lots of food in the house. Have all my meals beautifully cooked. Go to really good restaurants when I fancy it. Taxis are very, very cheap here, which is my main mode of transport. It is all pretty good value. Nay, cheap. I also travelled Business Class to Greece and can change my ticket anytime at no extra charge.

Basically, I am in clover and having a spiffing time. Maybe, I'll stay over here for an extra 1 or 2 months!

Now why is my lunch not ready? Have had two LARGE Whiskeys already and am pretty merry now.

Tyres:
Michelin PSS all the way! Chucks away!

Alright Asker, no need to rub it in darling.

As I type I'm sitting in some forlorn car park in the back of beyond, eating (not drinking ) lunch out of a paper bag

Anyone for Michelin PSS?

Oh, dearest, that's not good. Sitting and lonely is a carpark eating a meagre meal. Heart bleeds for you. Halfway through the food preparation the menu has been altered. Typical Greeks. They are so unreliable. 3rd Whiskey now! I am so pissed now that I am going for a siesta before lunch!

One good thing about this Greek induced crisis is that the Euro is dropping like a brick in value as we speak and the cost of the PSS is going down. So there is a plus side for our rubber purchase.  Each PSS is already £1 cheaper since yesterday.

Lunch is still not ready!

For those who don't wish to troll through this thread, the tyre choice is as follows:

Reviewed Tyres:

18" wheels on 7GTI, Evo 2015
Ist Conti 5
2nd Pirelli P Zero
3rd Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2

Note: None of the above tested for noise, but Conti 5 tyres considered noisy, Pirelli tyres quieter.

19" wheels on 7R, German Sport Auto 2015
Ist Pirelli P Zero
2nd Conti 5P or Hankook Ventus S1 evo2

Note: Hankook is the quietest tyre, Conti 5P is very noisy.

Not reviewed with above cars:
Michelin PSS

Note: It is the most recommended tyre in 18" and 19" sizes. It is also the most expensive.

The 1db difference between the contis and Michelins is neither here nor there. To be honest a loud fart would sound more than 1db and the contis are much cheaper and better on the wet.

On a wet day you might do more than just fart with the Bridgestones on!

You off to Costco tonight Chris?
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

You can't really use the US as a comparison as they get different tyres to us. The conti 5s don't appear anywhere.
