saw a nasty one the other day, but it's rare. See more touring car spoilered mk1 mondeos than chavved golfs!

Couldn't agree more :wink:, Lexus lights belong on a Lexus, mechano spoilers in the bin and neons in a nightclub :grin: :grin:

Some may say all the above kind of generic tat is down to personal taste, IMO lack of personal taste :rolleyes:.

There are some very smart looking VWs out there and particularly on this forum, makes me very sad when I see chavved up examples about :cry:.

i've just bought a 4motion... you're mostly suggesting that mk4s are more often chavved up.. Guess i've just shot myself in the foot by starting this thread  :smiley:

Eh? What were you expecting? Everyone on here to put their hand up and say "Yes! Yes I do  I drive a mk3 chav mobile" What a pointless thread. Apart from the MK1 Golf I'd say the Mk3 is by far the last choice of our nylon-loving cousins . Poor, council estate Chav goes for the mk2, well-off but tasteless Chav goes for the Mk4.

 Any car can be "chavved" up, I've seen everything from the ubiquitous Corsas and saxos to TVRs, Lotus's and Fezzas which have all been blighted by the hand of some fookwit with a Halfords account card. You don't automatically develop good taste once you spend over a certain amount on your car. In fact I'd say most of the well-off people I know have absolutely no taste whatsoever.

mk3 me up! used to be my worst choice of the golf family, but now owning one for 4years, id say the mk4 comes in last. im not saying i hate it, i just prefer the 1,2,3 and now 5. sorry mk4 owners.
