Interior light upgrade

I'm definitely going for the red, they look really good. This night sound daft but what's the DIS and how do I access it?

DIS = Driver Information System.  The display in between the rev counter and speedo.

In the DIS menus:

Settings - Lights & Vision - Footwell (3rd down in list).  Mine is set at 30%

I had a quick look this morning for that section and I couldn't see it.

All I have on the lights and vision menu is coming home light, leaving home lights, comfort indicator, travel mode or factory settings. So I'm guessing I'm gonna get whatever brightness they are set to

Worth checking convenience menu too, but failing that, you might need to get it enabled via VCDS.  I recall someone else couldn't locate it in their menu either quite recently.

That thread is informative, if I think I need some kind of adjustment I'll pop to the dealer and see what they say. Thanks for all your help and advice, it's been very helpful

And just another quick little question, is the boot festoon the same size as the vanity light, 36mm?

Iirc boot festoon is 42mm.  With festoons it doesn't really matter if they are a mm out as you can push or pull the end contacts to get best fit.

It was me that couldnt enable the the option on my DIS.

I still havent got round to sorting it out
