Mileage out of front tyres

I know that my Golf only has a feeble amount of power, but the front Dunlops have done 16k so far and are down to between 3 and 4mm

It is only ever myself in the car so maybe 38psi is too much. It is only the centre quarter of the tyre that is worn - there is plenty on the sides. What pressure gauges do others use?

225/40/18 XL PS3s 38psi 20k miles on the front, 45-50k on the back. GTD. on my 4th set front and 2nd set back. 76k miles and soon need to replace the tyres.

Similar here for me, and as I said when I mentioned this a few months ago, I drive like an old man  They are without a doubt the quickest wearing tyres I've come across. I'd never buy them again.

Tyre tests are only a guide. Tyre size 16/17/18/19 give different results with the same make of tyre. The EU labelling for noise for example often gives different values depending on size. Should not have worn in 6k though. Perhaps the black marks on the road from traffic lights has something to do with the wear!
